Taught Masters Programmes

Taught programmes are modular and provide opportunities for students to interact with other masters and doctoral researchers in the College. Some taught programmes are available on a full and part-time basis.

The taught masters programmes at NCAD are:

MA – Art in the Contemporary World
MA – Art in the Digital World
MA – Design History & Material Culture
MSc – Medical Devices Design (subject to validation)
MA – Arts Education (subject to validation)

New taught programmes are currently in development. The new taught masters programme in education — MA in Arts Education — is envisaged as part of a suite of connected programmes, sharing modules with at least two other taught masters to be offered by the Education Faculty in conjunction with other faculties — MA in Contemporary Visual Culture, in collaboration with Faculty of Visual Culture, aimed in particular at teachers of art at second level; MA in Participatory Cultures, in collaboration with Fine Art, aimed at practitioners in public arts, community arts, and arts in various social contexts.

Information about the development of these programmes will be posted on the NCAD website over the coming year.
